Condo renovations require careful planning to ensure the project goes on without a hitch. There are many moving parts that go into a condo renovation. For that reason, we initiate the following process to ensure your project is a success:
Step 1
Getting the paperwork in order to request approval from your condo association. Once Harmony Condo Reno identifies the appropriate information your condo needs such as WSIB and insurance, we can receive approval.
Step 2
We will then pay a deposit to your condo to cover any potential damage that may occur to common areas of the building i.e. hallways and elevators.
Step 3
Our team of experienced contractors will determine an approximate number of hours to allocate for the full completion of the project. Condos typically have select hours during which renovation work can be done to avoid causing a disruption to other residents so we keep those parameters in mind when scheduling.
Step 4
Booking elevators and parking spaces. We’ll need to secure parking spaces and elevators to transport materials to and from your condo. For instance, the first day of the job is vital for an elevator booking, in addition to the last day for cleanup. By booking an elevator, we will be able to cut down on delays by not having to wait for elevators to become available.
Step 5
Harmony Condo Reno handles all transportation and disposal of materials. You can expect exceptional customer service, treating your residents with the utmost respect and care. When we arrive on day one, we deliver the new materials and dispose of all the waste in an efficient and timely manner.
Step 6
The plumbing system is made sure to be attended to before work commences. This includes ensuring that the shutoffs for your unit are working well prior to renovations. If we discover an issue, your condo will need to shut off the riser in order to change the values.
Step 7
Harmony will make note of any possible restrictions to your renovation. If there are areas that cannot be touched, for example, a room that affects your home is a shared space or affects another tenant then we work around those restrictions accordingly. We address these limitations before initiating work to prevent changes and stay on schedule.
